Ashland Borough Council retained the services of Prodesign Plus, P.C. to prepare a Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Small Communities Program grant application for the purchase of materials to develop the Higher-Up Park Tot Lot.  The intent of our client was to purchase materials for the development of the Tot Lot and have volunteer labor install the equipment.  Upon the successful completion and funding of the grant application by DCNR, the Borough again retained our services to prepare design drawings and specifications for the construction of the Tot Lot.  Construction work started in the spring of 2008 with volunteer grading of the site to establish a level play area. Work included the installation of underdrains, installation of hardwood bark mulch, and the installation of playground equipment suitable for children up to age of five.
