Prodesign Plus, P.C. was retained by Ashland Borough Council to prepare Master Site Plans for three of their nine community park and recreation areas.  The parks in the study area included Eureka Park, Willow Park, and Higher-Up Park.

With the assistance of the Ashland Recreation Board, a citizen needs survey was conducted for the parks.  The needs of the citizens were tabulated and the recreation facilities were organized based upon the three parks.  Property and topographic surveys for the three parks were completed and conceptual plans were prepared using the citizen selected recreation facilities.  Recreation facilities were located in the parks using guidelines established by the consumer product safety commission.  Final Master Site Plans were created based upon the conceptual plans previously prepared and reviewed.  Development cost estimates along with operating cost and revenues were prepared as part of the creation of the Master Site Plan Study.  The project was funded in part by several organizations within the Borough as well as the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
