The Schuylkill County Volunteer Firefighters' Association retained the services of Prodesign Plus, P.C. to prepare bid drawings and specifications for renovations and rehabilitation to the existing Schuylkill County Volunteer Firefighters' Association Fire Training Building located at the Fire School Site on Firemen's Road in Ryan Township. The renovations and rehabilitation work consisted of the reconstruction of deteriorated concrete floors and stairs within the building, installation of a new concrete pad around the building, installation of a sprinkler system in the building for training purposes, collection of all water used from fire training exercises both within and outside the building, and the installation of an oil/water separator to remove contaminants from the water runoff from the training exercises. Also included in the work was the construction of a new storage building for storage of air packs and the installation of new perimeter fence around the 26-acre property.
