PENNSYLVANIA ANTHRACITE MINERS' MEMORIAL - SHENANDOAH, PA
The Pennsylvania Anthracite Miners' Memorial is located in Shenandoah and serves as a tribute to all miners who gave their lives working in the anthracite mine fields. Prodesign Plus, P.C. undertook the project for the Miners' Memorial Committee. Our work involved working intensely with the sculptor for the project. The layout is formed in the shape of a diamond,as anthracite coal is more notoriously known as "black diamond".
The sculptor depicted three scenes in the lives of the anthracite miner in bronze. These scenes included the trip from the mine, working in the mine and the everyday life of the miner. More details...
COAL MINERS' STATUE - JOSEPH T. WALACAVAGE MEMORIAL - MINERSVILLE, PA
In July of 1997, the Minersville Rotary retained Prodesign Plus, P.C. to complete the design for the Coal Miners' Statue located at the intersection of State Route 209 and 901 in Minersville. The Coal Miners' Statue was the dream of Joseph T. Walacavage to erect a monument as a tribute to Schuylkill County's anthracite coal miners. The miner is a 9 1/2 foot tall bronzed statue with a pick ax in one hand and a lantern held high in the other. The Coal Miners' Statue includes an anthracite base for the statue, brick pavers, patterned concrete walkway, benches and lighted bollards. VETERANS MEMORIAL - GENERAL GEORGE A. JOULWAN PARK - POTTSVILLE, PA
In November of 2006, the Pottsville Lasting Legacy Committee retained Prodesign Plus, P.C. to prepare design development drawings for the Veterans Memorial and Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial. The Veterans Memorial, which was located at Garfield Square, along with the existing flagpoles were relocated to the General George A. Joulwan Park. Also the new Congressional Medal of Honor would be located there as well. We incorporated a sitting area for meditation and a patio for both memorials. More details...
LAVELLE VETERANS MEMORIAL - LAVELLE, PA
Prodesign Plus, P.C. was to complete a design plan for the proposed Lavelle Amvets Memorial. The design was to incorporate the new Monument, dedicated to all Lavelle Area Veterans, a sitting area and a lighted flagpole.
